The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Vocal Ensemble will present its holiday concert at noon Dec. 5 in the Studio Theater of Blaisdell Hall.
“Christmas Eve is Here” will feature selections on the theme of winter nights, including the most famous winter night, Christmas Eve.
Works presented will range from traditional holiday numbers to a contemporary pop song by Death Cab for Cutie to a setting of the Robert Frost poem, “Choose Something like a Star.”
Soloists will be Mackenzie Crowe, a nursing major from Eldred; Erin Fagan, a mathematics education 7-12 major from Waverly, N.Y.; Elijah King, an interdisciplinary arts major from Princeton, N.J.; Katey Pacific, a radiological science major from Wellsboro; and Morgan Watson, a sociology student from Limestone, N.Y.
Other singers in the group are Whitney Colosimo, a biology major from Warren; Amy DiMaio, a nursing student from Newark, Del.; Juhano Don, a chemistry major from Philadelphia; Anne Frick, a psychology major from Chambersburg; Alexieann Riley, an athletic training major from Bradford; Alyssa Sedgwick, a biology major from Ellwood City; Molly Snyder, a nursing major from Rixford; Jeremy Thompson, an undeclared student from Meadville; and Alexis Williams, a history-political science major from Chester Springs.
Sydney Ellison, a forensic science and biology major from Greensburg, is the pianist.
The program will conclude with a short selection of carols.
The public is invited, and a light luncheon will be served.
On Dec. 9, the ensemble will also take part in the Christmas Market planned at the Marilyn Horne Museum. Intermittently, from noon until 4 p.m., members will perform traditional Christmas carols on the Grand Staircase in the main lobby.
