University of Pittsburgh at Bradford senior Amy Gaberseck is exhibiting her capstone project in the KOA Art Gallery on campus.

Gaberseck, an interdisciplinary arts major from Smethport, created “A Tree Hugger’s Datebook,” a day planner that contains articles, poetry, photography and artwork designed for anyone with an appreciation of nature and a busy schedule.

Gaberseck will sign copies of the book during a reception planned for noon, Dec. 4, in the gallery. Several special first edition copies of the book, plus posters and stickers, will be available for purchase.

Gaberseck’s interdisciplinary arts focus has been in the areas of creative writing and visual art. As the lead designer of Baily’s Beads student literary magazine, she has guided the staff to several awards from the American Scholastic Press Association, including a national recognition as Most Outstanding College Magazine.

The capstone exhibition is on display now through Dec. 8.

The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
