A man who appeared for a theft trial Tuesday in McKean County Court received a mixed verdict from the jury.
Richard B. Dinch Sr., 57, was found guilty of theft by unlawful taking but not guilty of theft by deception, according to court records.
Assistant District Attorney Jerry Grill prosecuted the case, and attorney Stephanie Smith represented Dinch. The trial was heard before Senior Judge William Morgan.
Court records filed at the time Dinch was first arrested alleged that he accepted $2,500 to replace a roof in Smethport but failed to perform the work.
He will be sentenced Dec. 8.
