PORT ALLEGANY — The Port Allegany High School Drama Club will perform “Promedy, a Prom Comedy” at 6 p.m. today and Saturday at the high school.
When drama geek Dante Allegro (played by Devon Briggs) is turned down by one of the top cheerleaders Kay (Keely Tarbox), he takes a vendetta against the prom itself and hijinks and hilarity ensue as the student body government, led by Beatrix Holiday (Katie Ernst), tries to bring it back.
Throw in a student body handbook, two battling groovy bands, and — a plastic baby doll? This comedy will be sure to leave the audience laughing.
The show will also feature Dominic Button as Chester; Tara Briggs and Rylie Lawton as the volleyball girls; Emily Miles as Stephanie; Corina Abreu as Doris; and Uriel Biondi as Dr. Funky.
