Hundreds of customers experienced power outages just hours apart Tuesday morning, a Penelec official reported.
The first outage started at 12:15 a.m. and affected about 2,700 customers in Bradford, said Scott Surgeoner of FirstEnergy.
“Cause of the outage was a failed insulator on a main feeder line. All customers were restored between 1:20 a.m. and 1:34 a.m. this morning,” he said.
Meanwhile, the second outage occured at 9:52 a.m. and affected 4,349 customers, Surgeoner said.
“The cause of the outage has not been identified yet, but all customers were restored between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.” he said. “This (Tuesday’s) outage was most/all of Bradford and some areas just to the west of Bradford.”
