A barbershop group is being organized in Bradford with its first meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at the First Presbyterian Church in Bradford.
Bradford used to have a quartet, but the members passed on, said Gary Larson, who is hoping to bring back a barbershop group to the area.
“We’ll be doing some Christmas music,” said Larson, who sings with the Jamestown Harmony Express. That music group performed at the 38th annual Crook Farm Fair and Old Time Country Music Festival in Foster Township in August, and that seemed to spark some interest in barbershop singing, Larson said.
The local group would be an inner-chapter of the Jamestown Harmony Express.
