Preliminary election results in Kane Borough indicate Republican Brandon “Brandy” R. Schimp will be serving as the next mayor.
Schimp received 496 votes in Tuesday’s election, compared to the 297 votes the Democratic competitor Pamela Miles received.
Unofficial results were also available Tuesday night for other Kane races.

They beat out Katharine Johnson, 394 votes; and Shana Snyder, 240 votes, for the four-year term; however, Snyder ran uncontested for a two-year term on Kane Borough Council, taking it with 478 votes.
