Republican Charles Zach Lasher appears to have taken the race for Eldred Borough Council.
Unofficial results from the McKean County Board of Elections Tuesday indicated Lasher had garnered 64 votes, while Democrat Cathy A. Gilbert had 36.
While no one was on the ballot for Eldred Borough mayor, there were 29 write-in ballots cast. However, write-in ballots are not immediately counted. An official count will be done later in the month.
