The First Wesleyan Church of Bradford will host a special Veterans Day dinner from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The dinner will take place at Emmaus Road, The First Wesleyan Church’s downtown facility located at 16 Congress St., the former site of a Whole Lotta Luv Café.
This will be a chili dinner with regular or spicy chili, cornbread or Italian bread, a drink and pie.
Lyn Niver is heading up the dinner, with the help of other members of the First Wesleyan Church of Bradford. She said the dinner is a way to honor those individuals who have served the country in any branch of the military.
The dinner is free to any veteran of the military and is scheduled to go until 5 p.m. or until the food runs out.
This is part of the First Wesleyan Church’s continuing community outreach efforts. For more information about the Veterans Day dinner, contact the Rev. Terri Niver at the First Wesleyan Church of Bradford at 814-368-7865.
Emmaus Road is open every Friday night at 6 p.m. for those individuals who can’t attend a regular church service or who are looking to explore their faith in a different setting. A special youth program is offered on Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. at the Emmaus Road location. Contact Niver for more information about Emmaus Road services.
