SMETHPORT — Criminal charges against a Bolivar, N.Y., man accused of threatening a man with a chainsaw, then stabbing him in the foot, were bound to court.
A preliminary hearing for Mark D. Sisson, 44, was held Monday before District Judge William Todd, court records indicate.
According to court records, on Feb. 27, Sisson and Katrina Hess, 34, of Bolivar, kicked in the door to a Shinglehouse residence, then Sisson allegedly chased a man through the home with a running chainsaw, threatened to kill him, punched him in the face several times and stabbed him in the foot.
Meanwhile, Hess allegedly kept other witnesses away so they could not help the victim, court records stated.
Sisson, who is charged with aggravated assault, burglary, terroristic threats, simple assault and criminal mischief, remains incarcerated in McKean County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Assault charges against Bradford man bound to court
Charges against a Bradford man accused of assaulting a man at McKean County Jail were bound to McKean County Court.
Steven R. Curcio, 48, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment for allegations that on Oct. 4, he “sucker punched” another inmate while he was sleeping, according to court records.
Curcio’s charges were bound over at a preliminary hearing Monday before District Judge William Todd, court records indicate.
He remains incarcerated in lieu of $10,000 in the new case.
Bradford man jailed for alleged crack possession
A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail for allegedly possessing crack cocaine.
Timothy Robert Curtis, 34, of 70 Pleasant St., is charged with possession with intent to deliver five baggies of crack cocaine, a felony; and possession of five baggies of crack cocaine, a misdemeanor.
At 2:50 p.m. Monday, Curtis possessed crack at his residence on Pleasant Street, according to a criminal complaint in the case. Police stated that Curtis had $837 in cash, and admitted part of it was proceeds from drug sales, the complaint alleged.
Curtis was arraigned before on-call District Judge Bill Todd and remanded to jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court Nov. 16.
