SMETHPORT — A Bradford man is facing allegations that he was found trespassing on someone else’s property in October.
Ty W. Hallock, 18, of 41 Main St., Apt. 206, was arraigned Saturday night before District Judge William Todd on charges of criminal trespassing, a third-degree felony; and loitering and prowling at night time, a third-degree misdemeanor, court records stated.
According to court records, at 12:50 a.m. Oct. 6, Harley Sellers, who lives in an upper apartment on Mechanic Street, called Bradford City Police because he heard a loud bang from the upstairs apartment.
Upon hearing the noise, Sellers went outside to investigate, as he was concerned because the upstairs tenant’s vehicle was not there, and he knew a burglary had occurred in the apartment earlier in the week. He found Hallock coming out the back door of the apartment and confronted him, court records indicated.
Hallock replied, “I was looking for you, Harley,” court records stated. When Sellers went to check the apartment, Hallock allegedly ran off.
At 2:50 a.m. Oct. 6, Patricia Frederick, the upstairs apartment tenant, told police someone had gone through her apartment while she was gone, which she knew because someone had moved the chair she left by the back door to try to keep people out.
Hallock was committed to McKean County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail, and he is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
