SMETHPORT — Bully prevention expert Israel Kalman will speak during a presentation to parents and community members from 6 to 7 :30 p.m. Tuesday at Smethport High School.
The event will be in the school’s auditorium.
Kalman is the author of a program called “Bullies2Buddies,” which teaches students how to be resilient to bullying. He will speak and demonstrate the techniques he promotes.
He will speak and demonstrate the techniques he promotes, which are based on the Golden Rule and other sound psychological principles. Kalman is a national and international speaker on the topic of bully prevention. His approach is noticeably different than many other bully prevention programs, with the goal of showing people how not to be victims by teaching practical skills to use when bullying occurs.
