More frights are on their way to Bradford, with a haunted house at the Eternal Art Tattoo Shop on Main Street geared up to give some chills on Monday and Tuesday.
John and Tina Reed, owners of the Eternal Art, said they’ve always wanted to see a haunted house started locally in Bradford, but every year they were left disappointed.
“We love haunted houses,” said Tina Reed. “But it’s a shame that folks like us who like them have to leave (Bradford) to experience them.”
The Reeds decided that they weren’t going to go to a haunted house elsewhere. Instead, they would bring the haunted house to Bradford.
“And just like that the ball started rolling,” Tina said. “Now we have more than 30 volunteers — all local. We’re extremely fortunate for all their help.”
The haunted house will begin inside the tattoo shop, where participants will be met with all kinds of frightening imagery. There will be zombies hunting for brains, evil doctors that will want to experiment on the living and serial killing hillbillies looking to add to their collection.
From there, the walk leads to the back alley, where more scares are to come, Tina said. The walk through can take anywhere from seven to 15 minutes. Tina said she is hoping to have wearable memorabilia for participants who make it through the walk.
The haunted house will be open to the public on Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. There is an admission fee. Proceeds will be donated to the Open Arms Community Church’s children’s Christmas play.
