SMETHPORT — Steven Curcio of Bradford was arraigned at the McKean County Jail on Thursday for allegedly attacking another inmate.
Curcio, 48, of 150 W. Warren Road, is charged with aggravated assault, a first-degree felony; simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, a second-degree misdemeanor; harassment, a summary.
According to court records, at 5 p.m. Oct. 4, a Kane-based state police trooper responded to the jail for an inmate altercation. He was shown video that showed Curcio went in the cell of a fellow inmate and “sucker punched” him while he was sleeping, court records allege.
Curcio will remain jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail in this case. He was already jailed on charges alleging he assaulted a woman in Bradford.
