A Ridgway company is celebrating its 50th anniversary and has acquired two other companies.
Alpha Sintered Metals is now Alpha Precision Group of St. Marys, and includes Precision Compacted Components of Wilcox and St. Marys; and Precision Made Products of Brunswick, Ohio.
“ASM is now part of APG’s Sintered Metals and Metal Injection Molding divisions and will continue to serve our valued customers with the same high quality products and commitment to customer service you have come to expect,” read a statement on the company’s website.
Similar statements are on the websites for Precision Compacted Components and Precision Made Products.
In 2016, Alpha Sintered Metals worked with O2 Investment partners to form Alpha Precision Group as a holding company. Investing in Precision Made Products and Precision Compacted Components “proved to be excellent fits for the ASM platform by providing new technology, expanded capabilities and additional opportunities in growth markets,” a release from the company announced.
“PCC’s variable cam timing segment dovetails nicely with ASM’s sintered metal focus on products supporting increased fuel economy, cleaner emissions and enhanced engine performance,” the release stated. “PMP’s focus on the medical device, aerospace and firearms markets complements the ASM metal injection molding operation’s medical device market emphasis.”
JoAnne Ryan, CEO of Alpha Precision Group, said the integration of the companies has gone exceptionally well, and has “reached the point where brand consolidation is appropriate.
“The single brand identity reflects the full capabilities and strengths of the combined company and presents a unified approach to the market,” she stated.
Alpha Precision Group will operate through two primary divisions — APG Sintered Metals and APG Metal Injection Molding.
The rebranding effort includes the new brand identity, company logo, new building signage, and a consolidated website www.alphaprecisionpm.com currently under construction.
Precision Made Products was founded in 2002. Precision Compacted Components was established in 1994.
