An one-hour parade today in downtown Bradford will usher in Bradford Area High School’s homecoming activities.
The event, which kicks off at 5 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Davis streets, includes local fire and police departments, the high school band, Bradford Area Dance Center, district and high school administration, school board president Paul Ridley, Zem Zem Shriners, class and club floats, the Zippo Jeep and car, Studio B Dance Academy and the midget league football players and cheerleaders.
The homecoming court will also appear in the parade and is made up of Tara Moonan, daughter of Todd and Kelly Moonan; Mackenzie Dunlap, daughter of Mark Dunlap and Belinda Plowman; Logan Sunafrank, daughter of Michele Hayden and Ed Sunafrank; Isis Wilcox, daughter of Sam and Trista Wilcox; and Josie Kelly, daughter of Kim Garcia and Mike Kelly.
Moonan’s escort is Nate Evan, son of Kelly Keller and the late Mike Evan; Dunlap’s escort is Austin Reese, son of Mike Reese and Shawna Reese; Sunafrank’s escort is Brent Kennedy, son of Rhett and Kara Kennedy; Wilcox’s escort is Hunter Gray, son of Jamie and Shelle Gray; and Kelly’s escort is Deondre Terwilliger, son of Andrew and Carrie Terwilliger.
Maya Ervin, who was Miss Bradford and is now Miss McKean County, will be in the parade. Ervin is the daughter of Bradley and Terri Ervin.
The parade concludes at Stoney North on Barbour Street.
Tonight, the homecoming queen will be crowned during the halftime of the football game. The Owls will face off against the Kane Wolves. The game starts at 7 p.m. at Parkway Field.
The homecoming dance will be held Saturday, starting at 8 p.m. at the high school.
