COUDERSPORT — A Coudersport couple that was found dead in a Homer Township home Sunday morning died by gunshot wounds, Coudersport-based state police reported.
Potter County Coroner Kevin Dusenbury released a statement earlier in the week stating that Krystal Lynn Howard, 31, and Brenton Michael Tubbs, 23, died in a murder-suicide.
According to state police, they received a phone call early Sunday morning from a person who was concerned about a friend at the home. Troopers arrived at the 128 Williams Way house and discovered the bodies of Howard and Tubbs inside.
Investigators determined that Tubbs shot Howard, killing her, then shot himself, police stated.
Dusenbury, state police and the Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Association worked together in the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
