SALAMANCA, N.Y. — Tim Johnson, executive producer of Rumble, will be the guest lecturer at the Seneca Iroquois National Museum at 6 p.m. Oct. 12.
He has been active with several prestigious Art & Education institutions over more than 35 years. As a former associate director for museum programs at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of the American Indian, Johnson produced a long list of critically acclaimed exhibits and programs during his tenure, creating an era that significantly advanced the institution’s reputation.
One such project was Up Where We Belong: Native Musicians in Popular Culture, the Smithsonian exhibition that Johnson conceptualized with Stevie Salas, and that served as inspiration for the documentary Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World.
