RIDGWAY — A Kersey man escaped a fire at his home without injury Thursday night.

Ridgway-based state police Fire Marshal Cpl. Greg Agosti said at 9:34 p.m., a fire broke out in a home at 1416 Million Dollar Highway in Fox Township.

The resident, Health W. Goodyear, was home at the time of the fire but escaped uninjured. Damage is estimated at $150,000. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental in nature.

The Fox Township Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Crystal Fire Department of St. Marys.
