MARIENVILLE — The Allegheny National Forest’s Marienville District Ranger Rob Fallon has decided to renew two currently expired special use authorizations for an oil pipeline, tanker loading facility, and a buried electric transmission powerline on the Marienville Ranger District. The proposed re-authorizations are located in Highland Township, Elk County.
The special use authorizations are located in Management are 3.0, which is suitable for the existing uses under the Allegheny National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan. Implementation of this decision may occur immediately. “The expired authorizations are changing administratively rather than in scope or intensity,” said Fallon.
