SHINGLEHOUSE — A Shinglehouse man waived a preliminary hearing this week on allegations that he raped a woman.
John Wesley Post Jr., 18, of 30 Pinney Lane, is charged with rape and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, first-degree felonies; sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault, second-degree felonies; corruption of minors, a third-degree felony; unlawful restraint, a first-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary offense.
According to court records, on Aug. 12, Post allegedly had sexual intercourse with a female despite her pleas to stop, and despite her kicking at him and struggling.
Post waived a hearing before District Judge Kari McCleaft and remains free on $75,000 unsecured bail. He is represented by attorney Walt Stenhach.
