Outdoor enthusiasts should be able to use a fishing pier and canoe launch at Marilla Reservoir this weekend.
The last remainder of trail aggregate materials are being placed on the pier and launch approaches this week, officials announced at a Bradford City Water Authority meeting held Wednesday.
M&M Construction of Johnsonburg has completed the drawdown, and the water level has returned to normal. The project, totalling roughly $120,000, has been in the works for at least a year and a half, said authority executive director Steve Disney.
The authority approved a resolution authorizing entering into a lease agreement with APC Towers LLC for the installation of a 100-foot cellular tower on authority property above Prospect Avenue.
The authority also reported that Chivers Construction of Fairview has finished about 95 percent of the 20-inch main line relocation project at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
Final line stops are being installed this week on the old 12- and 14-inch main lines that run under the campus athletic fields and tennis courts.
Site restoration is under way, and the project is expected to be finalized Friday.
Pitt-Bradford funded the $438,355 project.
An 8-inch main line relocation has been completed at Big Shanty, Bear Run Bridge. Klinginsmith Construction of Conneaut Lake handled the $36,275 project, necessary for a box culvert replacement next year.
“This project is under PennDOT’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Program and the authority will be reimbursed 75 percent of the project cost,” officials said.
Meanwhile, Klinginsmith Construction is expected to start construction Oct. 9 on an aging 6-inch main line replacement along Helen Lane in Bradford Township. Work is scheduled to take place over four weeks at a cost of $70,530.
The location has been the site of many breaks over the years, officials said.
