Two Coudersport women will face charges, including conspiring to riot, for an alleged incident involving a dog June 22 in the 700 block of North West Street.
Stacey Tomb, 35, of 609 N. West St., and Kristina Krog, 23, of 23 Avenue C, were charged by Coudersport Borough Police for an alleged incident that began at 11:50 p.m. June 22 and ended around 1 p.m. June 23.
According to court records, police were called to an argument over a dog. Tomb alleged Leon Mangine took her dog and wouldn’t give it back. She followed Mangine up the street, arguing. Police were called around 1 a.m. for a “street brawl,” court records allege.
“While conducting interviews at the scene the officers stated the only thing the parties could agree on” is that Mangine went to a residence with a 4-foot-long object, a tree branch or fence post, and began swinging it around, the records stated.
The fight allegedly spilled out into the street, and numerous people were struck by Mangine. Tomb suffered facial injuries, police alleged. Police said at least eight people were involved in the brawl, including Krog.
Coudersport police said the fight started up again around 3 a.m., and state police made additional arrests. Mangine told police Tomb and her friends chased him and were attempting to assault him, court records allege.
Tomb waived a hearing before District Judge Annette Easton on Tuesday. She is charged with conspiracy to riot and rioting, both third-degree felonies; two counts of stalking, first-degree misdemeanors; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor. She is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
A charge against Tomb of recklessly endangering another person was dismissed.
Krug is charged with two counts involving rioting, third-degree felonies; stalking, a third-degree felony; stalking, a first-degree misdemeanor; recklessly endangering another person, a second-degree misdemeanor; and two counts were added, both third-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct. The prosecutor also withdrew counts alleging aggravated assault.
The remaining charges against Krug were bound to court by Easton. Krug remains free on her own recognizance.
Mangine waived his charges to Potter County Court in July.
He was charged with two counts relating to rioting, third-degree felonies; three counts of aggravated assault, first-degree felonies; three counts aggravated assault, second-degree felonies; 15 counts of simple assault, second-degree misdemeanors; and five counts of recklessly endangering another person, second-degree misdemeanors.
