A local family is asking for help from the public finding a loved one who has been missing since last Thursday.
Donald Andrews, 40, moved from Arkansas to Cyclone on Sept. 20 to live with his father. He is described as being 5 foot 7 inches in height, weighing 135 pounds and having light brown and grey hair.
Andrews is said to have been emotionally unstable the day of his disappearance.
He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black shorts. Andrews left in a dark green 1999 Honda Accord with his mountain bike attached to the back. The license plate is HMA-7413.
He is an avid mountain biker and has been a part of the Mount Nittany Bike Association as well. He routinely visits local bike trails.
Andrews was last seen around the Marshburg and Lewis Run areas.
Pennsylvania State Police have been actively searching for Andrews since he was reported missing.
“It’s been an active investigation, and we have as many able bodies on the search for Andrews every day,” said Trooper Daniel Nestler, who is leading the investigation.
Nestler added that state police pinged his cell phone around Route 59 near Barrett Road and Boot Camp Road but were unable to find it’s exact location.
“We tracked it on the day it was reported, and it is still located around the same area,” Nestler said.
Since tracking his phone, state police have searched the area on patrol, on foot and by helicopter. There have been no leads or sightings as of yet.
If seen, the family is asking for the public to contact Pennsylvania State Police at (814) 778-5555, or Kara Claycomb, who is a relative of Andrews, at (814) 331-3034.
“If seen, please call immediately,” Claycomb said. “We just really want him to come home.”
