The death of an infant at a Bradford residence is under investigation by Bradford City Police.
The infant, Liam Prescott, 8 months old, was the son of Michael M. Maddox and Shelby L. Prescott. He died at his father’s home on Monday, according to his obituary.
On Tuesday, McKean County Coroner Mike Cahill said, “There were no signs of trauma to the child.”
An autopsy was performed in Erie, and the death certificate is pending toxicology testing and further study, Cahill said.
Police Chief Chris Lucco said officers responded to a report of an unresponsive infant on Fisher Court in the city on Monday.
“We are investigating,” he said, adding that police are awaiting the results of the autopsy.
“There was no apparent trauma or criminal wrongdoing at this point,” Lucco said.
The chief declined to give further information pending the investigation.
