Big Lots is slated to reopen at a larger location — just down a few storefronts at the Bradford Mall –– on Thursday.
Kara Hillis, advertising supervisor with Big Lots, said more details are forthcoming on the new store beside Dunham’s Sports but did report that the location will host a “dry run” opening this week and a grand opening Oct. 6.
Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Big Lots is non-traditional, discount retailer operating more than 1,400 stores with product assortments in the merchandise categories of furniture, seasonal, home, food, consumables, hard home, and electronics, toys and accessories.
Meanwhile, construction is ongoing on ALDI, to be located adjacent to Taco Bell facing East Main Street.
Officials are looking to have that grocery store open before the year’s end. ALDI is expected to have 12,000 square feet of selling space with five aisles.
The Bradford Mall area has been seeing a resurgence of businesses in recent years with the addition of Sheetz, Vagabond’s End Games & Hobbies and Taco Bell.
The mall area also has Tractor Supply, Dollar Tree, PHOENIX Rehabilitation and Health Services Inc. physical therapy, The Cellular Connection, Label Shopper and Peebles.
