SMETHPORT — A Bradford woman was arraigned Thursday before District Judge William Todd on allegations that she brought drugs into McKean County Jail and shared them with another inmate.
Danyelle Lynne Cabisca, 25, of 2 Bushnell St., is charged with furnishing a controlled substance to an inmate, a second-degree felony, court records stated.
According to court records, on June 25, Cabisca was arrested on a bench warrant and committed to jail. She was assigned a bunk directly across from Brooke Bottorf.
Cabisca, who had concealed controlled substances on her person, allegedly showed Bottorf in the bathroom a baggie contained what Cabisca believed to be cocaine. Cabisca told Bottorf she found it on South Avenue and “said she wasn’t positive that it was coke but just thought it was,” court records stated.
Bottorf allegedly watched Cabisca snort the substance but declined an offer to have some herself because she wasn’t sure what it was.
The next morning, after Cabisca was told she was going to be released, she allegedly told Bottorf she had Suboxone that she would share with her. They went to the bathroom, and Cabisca gave Bottorf about a quarter strip of Suboxone, according to court records.
Todd set Cabisca’s bail at $10,000 unsecured.
Cabisca has multiple pending court cases.
Court records indicate Cabisca is scheduled to appear Sept. 28 in McKean County Court for a last day to plea conference in five retail theft cases. She is also set to appear in Central Court that day for the new drug case.
She is free on a total of $21,050 unsecured bail for all six cases.
