A local woman waived a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on allegations she delivered crack cocaine.
Melissa S. Wilson, 28, whose address is listed as Bradford or Hinsdale, N.Y., in criminal records, is charged in the case with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, both felonies; and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, court records stated.
According to court records, on May 30, the McKean County Drug Task Force was investigating Larry “Minni” Jones for allegations that he was selling crack cocaine and heroin. Jones allegedly set up a drug delivery with a confidential informant using his cell phone.
The confidential informant arrived at the for the delivery, and Wilson — an associate of Jones — gave the person two baggies containing a total of about 1 gram of crack cocaine in exchange for $100, court records stated.
Wilson remains incarcerated in lieu of $20,000 bail in the case.
Wilson and Jones are also each facing drug delivery charges for a separate alleged incident on June 27 in Bradford.
According to court records, on June 27, the pair worked together to deliver crack cocaine in exchange for $100. When they were subsequently taken into custody, police allegedly found about 12 grams of cocaine and 5 grams of heroin in Wilson’s possession.
Both have previously waived preliminary hearing on the June 27 allegations. Wilson is scheduled to appear for a last day to plea hearing Sept. 28 in McKean County Court for the case, while Jones has last day to plea hearings scheduled for two drug cases on Oct. 26.
Bradford man waives hearing for forgery allegations
A Bradford man waived a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge Richard Luther for allegations he used a stolen check to obtain merchandise and cash from a grocery store.
Josef D. Godfrey, 27, is charged with forgery, a second-degree felony; and theft by unlawful taking, a third-degree misdemeanor, court records stated.
According to court records, on July 24, Godfrey used a stolen check for $49.99 at a local grocery store, obtaining $19.99 in merchandise and $30 in cash.
He remains free on $5,000 unsecured bail.
