KANE — Someone caused about $2,000 in damages to an unoccupied house in the 800 block of Biddle Street in Wetmore Township between Sept. 6 and 10.

Kane-based state police said unknown persons entered the residence, owned by David Oaks, 45, of Kane, through an unlocked door. Once inside, they spray painted the walls and floors, smashed several windows and destroyed other property inside the residence, according to police.
