CLEARFIELD — A Route 44 (Steer Brook Road) bridge, which spans the South Branch of Oswayo Creek in Hebron Township, about a mile southeast of the village of Hebron Center, Potter County is complete and open to traffic.
The bridge has been under construction as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. With replacement complete, PennDOT can remove it from Potter County’s structurally deficient bridge list.
The bridge reopened to traffic on Sept. 6. Replacement work was performed by Bob Cummins Construction Co. of Bradford.
The new crossing is longer and wider than the one it replaced and is designed with a 100-year lifespan.
