SMETHPORT — A Hazel Hurst man was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court to a jail term for assault allegations.
Matthew W. Booth, 36, will serve 60 days to 18 months in McKean County Jail with credit for 12 days of time served for a charge of simple assault and a summary charge. On Aug. 17, Booth pleaded guilty to allegations that on April 30, he pulled a woman’s hair and struck her several times in the head.
Also in court, Zachary B. Johnson, 31, of Smethport, will serve 22 months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges stemming from two cases. He is charged in both cases with defiant trespassing and theft by unlawful taking. On Aug. 3, Johnson pleaded guilty to allegations that on July 8, 2015, he took $400 and a man’s wedding band worth $1,000; then, on July 15, 2015, he stole six Percocet pills and $900 and entered a property after he was told not to be there.
Melissa M. Tubbs, 41, of Eldred, will serve 15 months of probation for a charge of retail theft. Tubbs entered a guilty plea Aug. 17 to allegations that on March 4, she took $87.52 in merchandise from Walmart.
Camille G. Haskins, 27, of Eldred, will serve one year of probation for charges in two cases. She is charged in one case with possession of heroin and in the second with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Richard A. Wilson, 47, of Bradford, was sentenced to a term in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
