According to police, they received a call at 3:38 p.m. Saturday from Tioga County 911 about a tractor accident on Ben Green Road in Potter County.
At the scene, Coudersport police determined that Copley had been operating a John Deere 4120 tractor with a front-end loader on an overgrown logging trail a quarter mile south of Ben Green Road. Copley was clearing the trail and pushing brush back over the bank with the front bucket as he traveled north towards the road
The right side tires of the tractor began to slide on the embankment, and the tractor rolled over and landed on Copley, causing severe injuries to his head, police reported.
Police said the tractor continued to roll down the embankment before coming to a rest against several trees.
