EMPORIUM — The annual fall ladies’ conference, titled “Treasure,” will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 23 at the Emporium Christian and Missionary Alliance Church on Sizerville Road (Route 155).
The morning will highlight rich worship and Bible teaching from conference speakers Steph Conklin of the Dorseyville Alliance Church in Pittsburgh, Amy Reed of the First Baptist Church in Ulysses and Heather Glogau of the New Beginnings Assembly of God in Kane.
All area women, regardless of background with faith, are invited to attend.
Refreshments and luncheon will be provided, and there is no cost for the conference.
Donations will be gratefully received and will be sent directly to people in Haiti for food, clean water, medical care, small business start-up costs and school tuition. Although Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere, families must pay for their children to attend school. Because of their extreme poverty, many children have no access to education. Any gift for Haiti to be tax deductible can be made by check to the Emporium CMA Church.
