A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail after allegedly overdosing while huffing canned air in an alley off Lincoln Avenue on Friday.
Jeremiah Ashly Smith, 24, of 253 Congress St., is charged with use of solvents.
According to court records, at 6:28 p.m. Friday, police were called to a possible overdose in an alley behind Wright Monumental Works. When an officer arrived he found Smith lying on the ground next to the building, in and out of consciousness and cold to the touch. A can of Ultra Duster was in front of him. Paramedics arrived on scene, but Smith refused treatment.
The officer walked around the area where Smith had been and found an empty can of air duster, also very cold to the touch; and two twin packs of air duster still in the package, court records read.
He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Rich Luther and remanded to jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
