SMETHPORT — Elyse Godding continued her medal-winning play with a 39 to to lead Bradford to a 40-15 victory over Port Allegany in girls golf action at the Smethport Country Club on Thursday.
Godding has been the medalist in both of the Lady Owls matches this season.
“Elyse’s 39 was impressive,” said Judy Abbey, Bradford coach. “She’s only a sophomore and played very well. She had just two bogeys in the nine holes.
Bradford dominated the match taking the top five places in the scoring to effectively shut out the Lady Gators.
Godding’s score was good for 10 points, followed by teamate Kate Huber with a 44 and nine points.
“This is the second time Kate has shot a 44,” Abbey pointed out.
Leading Port Allegany was Caroline Wise with a 69.
Bradford (2-0) returns to action Tuesday against Smethport at the Smethport Country Club.
