SMETHPORT — A Bradford man pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court to theft allegations.
Timothy M. Comilla, 31, entered the plea to one count of theft by unlawful taking. On March 5, Comilla stole $120 from another person, according to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer. Comilla will be sentenced Sept. 7 in the case.
Meanwhile, Comilla asked for a trial in a second case against him in which he is charged with burglary and theft.
Also in court, Matthew W. Booth, 36, of Hazel Hurst, pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault and a summary charge. Assistant District Attorney Jerry Grill said that on April 30, Booth pulled a woman’s hair and struck her several times in the head. Booth will be sentenced Sept. 7.
Camille G. Haskins, 27, of Eldred, pleaded guilty to drug charges in two cases. In one she’s charged with possession of heroin, and in the second she’s charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Haskins will be sentenced Sept. 7.
Melissa M. Tubbs, 41, of Eldred, pleaded guilty to one charge of retail theft. According to Grill, on March 4, Tubbs took $87.52 in merchandise from Walmart in Foster Brook, including craft supplies and undergarments. Tubbs will be sentenced Sept. 7.
Charmaine L. Bliss, 30, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of bad checks and a summary charge. In 2015, Bliss issued two bad checks: one for $525 and the second for $125, according to Grill. Bliss will be sentenced Aug. 24.
