EMPORIUM — An Emporium man has been charged for allegedly sexually assaulting an underage girl in Cameron County early on April 22.
Emporium-based state police reported that Norman Francis Pettit II, 21, was babysitting three children at 14 E. Fourth St. when three additional juvenile females arrived at the location. Pettit and the females allegedly ingested marijuana that was purchased by Pettit, police stated.
Later, Pettit allegedly forcibly had sexual intercourse with one of the juvenile females and inappropriately touched another of the juvenile females, according to state police.
Charges were filed on Friday, and Pettit was remanded to the Potter County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
