SMETHPORT — Criminal charges against a Port Allegany man were withdrawn, leaving only summary charges.
Frederick W. Cochran Jr., 54, was charged in two separate cases — a terroristic threats case and a simple assault case — when he was scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge William Todd.
The misdemeanor charges against him were withdrawn, and he faces summary charges of harassment and public drunkenness in one case, and two summary counts of harassment in the second, court records indicate.
