A Bradford man was arraigned Wednesday on theft allegations involving an alleged stolen check.
Josef David Godfrey, 27, of 332 Congress St., is charged with forgery, a second-degree felony; and theft, a third-degree misdemeanor.
According to court records, on July 24, Godfrey took a check from another man without his permission, and used it for $49.99 — $19.99 in merchandise and $30 in cash at a local grocery store.
Godfrey was released on $5,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Central Court Aug. 24.
