PURCELLVILLE, Va. — Whitney Hope Harvey and Greggory Joseph Housler were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony May 26 at Breaux Vineyards in Purcellville with Magistrate Ronald Petrella officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Patricia Harvey of Virginia and the late Kenneth Harvey, and the groom is the son of Stephen and Denise Housler.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, Kevin Harvey, wore an antique blush lace applique sheath gown with a sweetheart neckline. An ivory cathedral veil trimmed in lace adorned her head, and she carried a bouquet of pink-, champagne- and creme-colored roses, succulents and greenery.
Serving as maid of honor was Claudia Cardenas of Virginia. Bridesmaids were sisters-in-law of the bride Jenna and Jene Harvey of Virginia, sister of the groom Elaine Patton of Leeper, Pa., sister-in-law of the groom Sarah Housler of State College, Pa., Kelly Manion of Virginia and Jessica Herrod of Arizona.
Each female attendant wore a sage green chiffon gown with a crisscrossed sweetheart neckline and a ruched bodice and carried a bouquet of pink-, champagne- and creme-colored roses.
Nieces of the bride Sophia and Emerson Harvey of Virginia served as junior bridesmaid and flower girl, respectively.
Serving as best man was brother of the groom Sean Housler of State College. Ushers were cousins of the groom Stuart and Tom Morris of Pittsburgh, Pa., brother-in-law of the groom Don Patton of Leeper, Justin LaBrozzi of Pittsburgh and brothers of the bride Jason and Brandon Harvey.
A reception was also held at Breaux Vineyards with music provided by Dapper Dan DJ.
The couple planned a honeymoon trip to Greece.
They reside in Frederick, Md.
The bride, a graduate of Virginia Tech, is an internal audit manager for Verizon/AOL.
The groom, a 2002 graduate of Bradford Area High School, received his bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007 and his master’s degree in 2009. He is employed by the Department of Defense.
A shower was given by the mother of the groom at Pennhills Club, and the bridesmaids threw a shower in Virginia.
