KANE — A Rew man is in McKean County Jail for allegedly forcing entry into a house after he was barred from the premises by court order.
Chad E. Dowell, 32, is charged with criminal trespass by breaking into a structure, a second-degree felony; and criminal mischief, a summary offense.
According to court records, between midnight and 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Dowell kicked in a door of a Rew residence after being barred from the premises by a temporary restraining order.
He was arraigned Thursday night by on-call District Judge David Engman in Kane and remanded to jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
