GALETON — A Galeton man is facing charges for allegedly stealing from his employer to obtain heroin.
Craig Legerlotz, 23, of 4 Railroad Ave., is charged with theft and receiving stolen property, first-degree misdemeanors, and conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance, unclassified misdemeanors.
According to records filed at District Judge Delores Weiss’s office, on July 13, while working at SMC Metallurgy in Pike Township, Potter County, Legerlotz took various tools and batteries belonging to the company. Police said they watched surveillance video that showed him removing the items from the company, taking them to a vehicle parked outside in the loading dock area and exchanging them for heroin.
Legerlotz refused to identify the occupants of the car, police said.
He is scheduled for arraignment Sept. 8 before Weiss.
