GREENSBORO, N.C. –– Bradford Family YMCA swimmer Paige Hetrick won the 200-meter freestyle race at Wednesday’s YMCA Long Course National Championships held at the Greensboro (N.C.) Aquatic Center.
Hetrick won the race with a time of 2:03.48, beating out competitors from Ohio, New Jersey, Massachusetts and other East Coast states. Her preliminary heat time of 2:04.54 would have won the competition.
At the YMCA national team swimming championships in Greensboro in April, Hetrick was the lone competitor for the Bradford, but scored enough points to earn the Bradford Family YMCA a 20th-place finish.
