SMETHPORT — Smethport High School will host a 5K run benefitting Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation on Saturday, Aug. 5.

The event will begin at 9 a.m., with a two-mile walk immediately following the start of the 5K. Participants will be sorted into the following age groups: 14 & under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60 & up. The first-place male and female finishers will receive a custom Yeti tumbler and a first-place medal. Male and female winners in each age group will receive a medal.

Pre-registration fee is $15, while day of registration is $20. All checks can be made payable to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Pre-registration guarantees a t-shirt. Day of registration is first come first serve. Day of registration begins at 8 a.m.
