ELDRED — The Otto-Eldred school board met Tuesday evening for a brief meeting to discuss and make personnel decisions for the upcoming school year.
The board accepted the resignation of Nicholas Labella, effective June 30. Labella was hired in the Bradford Area School district as an assistant principal. He has permission to remain as the varsity football coach for the 2017 season. Kristina Francis was approved to be his replacement as a math instructor.
Other personnel matters that were discussed and approved included the following: Nicole Kriner (elementary) and Josh Lineman (high school) were placed as behavioral specialists in the emotional support classrooms. Both positions will work up to 190 days. Kristie Ramsey was placed as the new K-12 STEM instructor.
Wanda Stebbins and Mark Miller were approved to be volunteers for the color guard and marching band for the 2017 season.
Meanwhile, the board approved checks to be released from the capital reserve account of complete current building projects. They also approved to spend $25,000 on a van with the trade-in of the current district car and $10,000 on cardio equipment based on bids that were submitted.
An annual review of the district’s Bullying Prevention Policy 249 was held and no changes were recommended.
