Bradford Area Public Library is holding a Holistic Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
The event is free and open to the public.
Holistic health considers the whole person — the mind, body, spirit and emotions as opposed to independent parts. Holistic refers to everything from organic foods, herbal supplements, essential oils, natural products and massage therapy.
Local vendors will be available to explain holistic health and products. Tops Friendly Market will bring in samples from its expanded selection of natural and organic products. The Fluffy Baby Boutique will explain how parents can save money and protect the environment by using cloth diapers. The store will also display organic products for baby’s sensitive skin. Santo Vida Natural Wellness Center will bring in essential oils, herbal supplements, natural skin products, books and information on their upcoming classes. Donnia Anastasia Denig, owner of Sacred Spaces Holistic Center, will explain the benefits of the Ayurvedic lifestyle. Ayurvedic lifestyle refers to one of the world’s oldest holistic (“whole-body”) healing systems. It was developed more than 3,000 years ago in India. Denig will also explain the benefits of yoga and massage therapy. In addition, she will give massages.
The Holistic Fair will be an opportunity to meet with local vendors and learn more about the variety of products and services which support wellness, or balance of mind, body and spirit here in our community.
