The Bolivar (N.Y.) Country Club will host the second annual Golf Tournament and Dinner Benefit to support the Eldred World War II Museum at 9 a.m. July 8.
The event is an effort raise money to help keep the museum running.
Susan Phalon, a volunteer and member of the museum board, is excited for this year’s event.
“Last year was incredible. Our donation goal was $10,000, and we were so happy to shatter that goal and hope to do the same this year,” Phalon said.
This year’s donation goal is $25,000, which they hope to meet with all the activities available at the benefit.
“This event is bigger than just a golf outing. It’s totally family friendly, and we hope to see a lot of veterans there as well, as this is all in honor of those veterans who fought and put their lives on the line for our country,” Phalon said.
The activities for this year’s fundraiser will include eight holes of golf, cart, the orange ball challenge competition, the longest drive competition, the closest to the pin competition, the second shot competition and a raffle ticket drawing to win various door prizes.
There will also be extra events and activities which will include Mulligans, a ring of fire game, a putting challenge, a 50/50 and Chinese auction and a memorial honoring veterans.
Dinner will be a chicken barbeque served from 3 to 6 p.m. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., and there will be a fee of $240 per team or $60 per person with a maximum of 29 teams. Tee off will begin at 10 a.m.
