Two New York state residents have been jailed on allegations they were delivering illegal drugs in Bradford City Tuesday night.
Larry “Minni” Jones, 39, of 8 Harlow Place, Buffalo, N.Y., and Melissa Wilson, 27, of Portville, N.Y., were arraigned before District Judge Dominic Cercone and incarcerated in McKean County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail each, court records stated.
Between the two of them, they were found with approximately .5 grams of crack cocaine, 5 grams of heroin and 12 grams of cocaine, said District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer.
Additionally, “Approximately $1,700.00 in cash was seized,” said Shaffer.
According to court records, at 10:04 p.m. Tuesday, Wilson transported Jones to a location in Bradford City, where Jones sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant with the McKean County Drug Task Force in exchange for $100. The delivery was allegedly arranged using text/voice messaging.
When Wilson was searched after being taken into custody, police found about 12 grams of cocaine in her bra, and they discovered that she was in possession of 5 grams of heroin, court records stated.
Shaffer noted that the Bradford City Police Department assisted in the bust.
She said Jones is charged with possession with intent to deliver approximately .5 grams of crack cocaine, possession of approximately .5 grams of crack cocaine and conspiracy to commit possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, all felonies; and criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony; while Wilson is charged with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver — one for approximately 5 grams of heroin and the other for approximately 12 grams of cocaine — and possession of a controlled substance — one for approximately 5 grams heroin and the other for approximately 12 grams of cocaine, all felonies; and one count of conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver approximately .5 grams of cocaine.
