KANE — Two men are in McKean County Jail for allegedly being found in possession of items stolen in various burglaries in Kane.
Levi Haberberger, 19, 2 Boyd St., Mount Jewett, and Jacob Bailey, 21, of 18 N. Oak St., Kane, were both charged with receiving stolen property, third-degree felonies.
According to court records, on Tuesday, at Haberberger’s residence, the two were found to be in possession of items allegedly taken during burglaries of Dangelo’s Custom Built, Meyer’s Motor Sports, Eastman’s This and That and Appalachian Power. Police said the items included 10 chainsaws, a leaf blower, a hedge trimmer, 112 chains for chainsaws, logging equipment, lights, dirt bike helmets and jerseys, cake decorating equipment and necklaces, court records read.
The items were valued at more than $9,000, police said.
Haberberger was arraigned Wednesday night before District Judge David Engman and remanded to jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, while Bailey was arraigned Thursday before Engman and jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail. Both are scheduled to appear in Central Court June 15.
