SALAMANCA, N.Y. — The Seneca Salamanca Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with chambers of commerce throughout the area, including Bradford, for ChamberFest.
ChamberFest is a new event for the area, and will be at the Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino Grounds from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. this Saturday, with local, regional and national breweries offering samples from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
This event will feature food, craft vendors, live music, wine tastings and craft beer samplings from 16 different breweries.
Chamberfest will also host a chainsaw wood carving event, with 20 world-class carvers.
The carvings will also end with live auctions for those in attendance.
“This event is important to the Chamber of Commerce because of all the chambers coming together, we are all getting to collaborate,” said John Sheehan, a director of the Seneca Salamanca Chamber of Commerce.
The board of the chamber of commerce in Salamanca originally came up with the idea, and this event will be added as one of 20 annual events that take place through the organization. ChamberFest is expected to have the largest outcome, according to Sheehan, who says they are expecting several thousand to be in attendance.
The event is free; however, tickets for beer sampling are $25, or $30 at the event. Ticket buyers for samples will also receive a free souvenir beer glass.
Those in attendance will also have a chance to meet and support furry, four-legged friends from Empire Animal Rescue Society (E.A.R.S.) of Salamanca, a local animal shelter.
Tickets can be purchased at www.salamancachamber.org, or at a local chamber of commerce office.
All tickets purchased through BACC, benefit both the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Seneca Salamanca Chamber of Commerce.
